Applicants must be willing to work towards NVQ Level 2 in care, have the ability to work in a team, be adaptable, be flexible with working hours, have good communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of dealing with sensitive and distressing situtations.   The course is being run as a introduction to the Health Care Support Worker positions for UHCW. The training modules will Include; Introduction to care sector awareness, Infection Control, Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding Adults, Communication, Food Hygiene, Emergency First Aid at Work, Maintaining Personal Care and Interview Skills.

The Adult Education Service offers a wide range of courses for adults in more than 50 locations in the city.  Each year, thousands of people take the opportunity to learn a new skill, get a qualification, or find out more about something they are interested in.  Courses are taught by friendly, qualified tutors. Adult education courses are offered in community venues during daytimes and evenings.  Subjects on offer include:
